About Freedom Flight School
Since the late 1990s, Freedom Flight School has been a trusted name in aviation training, proudly operating as an approved Civil Aviation Flight School. Located in Bapsfontein, our facility features a 1000 x 30-metre grass runway, with a dedicated general flight training area just two minutes’ flight time from the airfield.
Experienced Leadership and Expertise
Our Chief Flight Instructor, Larry Eschner, is a renowned Protea Pilot, having achieved top-10 placements in two World Championships. As an A-grade instructor, Larry leads a team of highly skilled instructors, all rated on both 3-axis and weight-shift aircraft.
Comprehensive Training on Advanced Aircraft
At Freedom Flight School, we conduct flight training on a variety of aircraft, including:
- Windlass Aquilla Microlight: A locally manufactured, reliable training aircraft.
- Ikarus C42: Known for its performance and versatility.
- Avid Flyer: Taildragger training for enhanced skill development.
We also offer the flexibility to train on owners’ aircraft, provided they meet Civil Aviation regulations.
